People bring up Tua’s weapons as a negative, but where were these people his first two years? Parker, Bowden, Ford, Grant, Gaskins…is that even NFL caliber? It’s like he has to have the worst group in the nfl (he still had a winning record with that group) and then gets no leeway. Then he gets good talent and now he blows cause he needs that? Not worth it to give Tua that type of money. He doesn't throw the football deep well. Ever since that severe hip injury at Alabama, Tua is very limited running the ball.

Keep in mind that the last year of Tyreek's contact is essential fake. It's overly inflated with no guarantee, which means that there's no way the dolphins let him play it out. So the 30M number is BS; he is getting 25M a year. I don't see why you wouldn't extend Tyreek; he just had his best year as a pro. He's still the best WR in the league. I would not compare it to Howard; he had a groin injury that he never really recovered from and went from a top 5 CB to below average. Of course injuries can happen to any player but I don't think it was age related.

Tua won a natty at Bama and is 32-19 as a starter in the NFL. There’s a reason much smarter people than you are about to throw a huge bag of loot at Tua.

I forgot we lost Van Ginkel, I suspect that could hurt us more than we might think. Van Ginkel was so flexible he filled in various roles and gaps when other players went down. Grier seems to like flexible players, which fine, but when you lose them you can end up with holes in more than one place. VG was talent and depth that we depended on heavily last season. Have we realistically replaced him?

Is Tua holding McD back from running a complete offense? Is McD holding Tua back by pinning him in this limited, boutique offense scared to allow the run game to carry its fair share of the load, putting too much pressure on Tua making him pass on every 3rd & 4th and 1, 2 and 3 yards and not allowing Tua to naturally grow into an expanded attack that includes counters to defensive game plans and attacks? Are both Tua and McD both being hamstrung by our goofball GMs inability to build and maintain a quality O line that can stay healthy together for more than three weeks?
